Shopping Reminder Day

Just in case you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple of months:

As of today there are only thirty shopping days left until Christmas!

Yeah, if the ornaments and tinsel already exploding from the aisles at your local supermarket, the amount of kids crying at the shopping mall as their parents push them onto Santa’s knee and the seventeen versions of the same Christmas song you’ve heard every time you leave the house since Halloween weren’t enough, there is an entire holiday reminding you that the BIG day is swiftly approaching. As unnecessary as this holiday seems, I have to defend it . . . at least a little bit. If you do most of your shopping before the notorious Black Friday, you’ll avoid holiday crowds and ensure you get everything on your list before retailers run out. Also, today is a good day to get started on your holiday greeting cards and corporate gifts.

One month to go. If Santa Claus can make it, so can you. Now get shopping!
