Can you Walk the Walk?
Oh you can tell by the way I use my walk, it’s World Sauntering Day, no time to talk. Music loud and June holidays warm. I’ve been celebrating zany holidays since I was born. That’s right, guys, pull out the leisure suits; ladies get your platforms ready. It’s National Sauntering Day! This outrageous holiday began as a publicity stunt back in the 1970s by Public Relations director W.T. Rabe (creator of several other zany holidays, like Unicorn Questing Month).
If you’re not sure how to saunter, don’t worry, it’s not hard! Sauntering is a cool, collected swagger; to stroll, unworried, confident and at a leisurely pace. Walking with nowhere to go and with little concern! If you’re still unsure, play something groovy to walk to on your iPod or MP3 player, and keep beat with the music. Saunter wherever you go on this whacky holiday!
