Yes, ladies and gentleman, it’s time to appreciate your favorite dragon. Today all throughout the country, children in schools will pick out their favorite dragon from literature and pop culture and be able to celebrate. This picture above, from 1978’s Puff, The Magic Dragon, features the earliest dragon that I can ever remember being exposed to.
Other American pop culture dragons that children may be celebrating today include that crazy hormonal pink dragon from Shrek, the hostile dragons from the fourth movie in the Harry Potter series, and the dragon with the Eddie Murphy voice from Disney’s Mulan.
